What Is ISO 14002?

ISO 14002 is an ISO standard that provides detailed guidelines to be used by small and medium enterprises to implement the ISO 14001. ISO 14002 is in the family of Environmental Management Standard, the 14000 series.

Organizations use ISO 14001 to develop and implement effective environmental management systems and apply them to environmental aspects that are controllable and easy to influence. The factors that affect the application of this standard in an organization include internal environmental policy, nature of activities, products and services, and the location and the conditions of the area. With a representation of committees from all over the world, the International Organization for Standardization developed the ISO 14000 series in 1996.
