An inventory editor for "Minecraft" is a third-party program that allows players to edit their inventory from outside the game. As of 2014, "Minecraft" inventory editors include INVedit, Inside Job and Minecraft Pocket Edition World Inventory Editor.
Third-party programs are not made by Mojang, the company responsible for creating of "Minecraft." Instead, they are created by independent developers and fans of the game. Some of the other third-party programs available for "Minecraft" include map editors, modding (modification) tools and backup utilities. Most third-party programs are designed to enhance the game-playing experience, but they also fill other functions, such as server management.
