DNJ Intermodal Services, Pacella Trucking Express and Cushing Transportation are logistic companies that offer intermodal trucking services. All three companies are based in Chicago and have varied geographical capacities within the United States.
DNJ Intermodal Services was founded by Joe Tovo and has become part of the IMC Companies portfolio, which is a national network of intermodal logistics companies. This affiliation allows DNJ to offer customers a broader range of services and greater geographical flexibility. According to its website, DNJ offers container drayage, dedicated container and truckload services, domestic drayage and certified hazmat drivers, among other services.
Pacella Trucking Express has been in operation in the Chicago area for over three decades. It currently operates a fleet of over 250 trucks and in addition to a robust office personnel staff. As an independent, family-owned company, Pacella does not have the extensive reach that the IMC Companies affiliation provides to DNJ. However, its focus on the Midwest region allows the company to focus more closely on individual clients. Pacella offers overweight handling, Qualcomm GPS technology for tracking loads, custom bonded and hazmat capabilities, and a storage yard at the Chicago Main Terminal, as of 2015.
Cushing Transportation's scope is similar to that of Pacella's, with a focus on regional service. Based out of Chicago, Cushing offers expedited service, shuttle and yard-spotting service, and fully integrated unit tracking software.
