Families whose monthly income is between 100 and 300 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible for BadgerCare Plus, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Larger families are eligible for higher family monthly income limits.
The poverty level ranges from $980.83 for one person to $12,302.50 for a family of 10 as of February 2015, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, which posts a matrix of the eligibility levels on its website. The amounts may increase each year. Residents may apply through the state's Access website.
BadgerCare Plus provides nutrition, health and child care, prescription coverage, food assistance and other benefits to low-income families in Wisconsin, according to the Access site.
