i2 is a division of IBM that creates and sells planning and management software. There is also a company formerly known as i2 Technologies that produces supply chain management software.
IBM i2 software is pitched to organizations that investigate, monitor and defend against criminal activity, such as law enforcement and government agencies. It is designed to bring together, sort and filter disparate data sources into usable intelligence.
i2 Technologies was acquired by JDA Software in 2008, which was in turn acquired by RedPrairie in 2012. RedPrairie specalizes in warehouse management systems. i2 Technologies was also responsible for creating the non-profit organization Aidmatrix.
