As of September 2015, you can get Harrah's Total Rewards card by visiting the Total Rewards website and signing up for a free membership. The card allow users to earn and redeem rewards at about 40 resorts and casinos worldwide, including those owned by Harrah's. By using their cards, members earn credits through activities such as gaming, dining out, visiting entertainment venues, staying at hotels, shopping and golfing, explains the Total Rewards official website.
For example, Total Rewards members earn specific credits when they play reel machines and video poker. The number of credits depends on the type of game, average bet and length of play, reports the program's website. Members also earn rewards credits outside the casino through shopping at the Total Rewards Marketplace, playing Total Rewards games on Facebook and using the Total Rewards Visa card.
Total Rewards cards come in four tiers, notes TotalRewards.com. The higher the tier, the more rewards cardholders earn. For instance, top tier members receive complimentary rooms and upgrades, free early check-in and late checkout, and access to special events such as cruises.
Members are able to view their Total Rewards credit balances or Tier Scores by accessing their online accounts on the Total Rewards website. The amount of time it takes for an account to show new credits varies depending upon the activity. For example, video poker credits appear immediately. Restaurant credits take up to three days, and hotel credits show up within 10 days of checkout.
