As of 2015, graphene companies include Advanced Graphene Products, Haydale, NanoXplore, RS Mines, Graphene Platform Corp and Anderlab Technologies. Other companies include Graphenea, 2D Carbon Tech, ACS Material, AVANSA Technology & Services and Angstron Materials.
A number of companies mine, manufacture, supply or produce graphene for various applications, including electronics, optics, sensors and biodevices. Other applications include improving energy capacity and charge rate in rechargeable batteries, producing conductive inks, manufacturing electrodes and designing research related processes and equipment.
In its most basic form, graphene is a single, tightly packed, thin layer of pure carbon atoms bonded together in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice formation.
