Prospective students for truck driving schools may qualify for grants or scholarships depending on certain criteria, according to Truckers Report. Some of these criteria include where they live, their income level, what school they plan to attend and the length of the program.
Some students may qualify for the federal Pell Grant if they are U.S. citizens, explains Truckers Report. They must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid form and apply to programs that meet the grant's requirements, such as a 24-month program with a residency. Other grants include the Workforce Investment Act grant and various state grants. Applicants may find scholarships by contacting the school's admissions office.
