For 2014 and 2015, Tufts Associated Health Maintenance Organization, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Harvard Pilgrim Insurance are the top-ranked private health care plans, according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The committee assigns a score of 89.7 and higher out of 100 for these plans.
The committee rates these plans as five out of five in the categories of consumer satisfaction, prevention and treatment, states the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Other highly ranked plans include the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, Tufts Benefits Administrators, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Southern California and Martin’s Point U.S. Family Health Plan. These plans have scores of 88.6 or higher for 2014 and 2015.
