General Electric Single Sign On is a security and navigation feature that allows people to move securely between the company's websites, notes General Electric. People must have a valid GE SSO user identification and password in order to access and use the system.
General Electric employees, contractors, consultants, suppliers and vendors are among the users that can access GE SSO after registering for an account, states the company. The company assigns a nine-digit worker identification number that is used to access the system, which for most users is the same as their employee or contractor identification numbers. People using GE SSO also must establish an answer to a challenge question that is required when users change their passwords.
