A PayPower Visa prepaid card comes with numerous fees, such as $3.95 retail purchase fee (may vary by retailer) and a monthly maintenance fee of $5.95, as of 2015. There is a reload fee of $3.95; however, there are no retail transaction fees.

The PayPower Visa prepaid card also requires various fees for ATM uses, such as a domestic ATM withdrawal fee of $1.95 per transaction, a domestic ATM balance inquiry fee of $0.50 per transaction, an international ATM withdrawal fee of $3.95 per transaction and an international ATM balance inquiry of $0.95 per transaction (these numbers do not include any third party ATM fees). Service fees include a foreign transaction fee of 2.0 percent of said transaction, a teller cash advance of $2 per transaction, a lost or stolen card fee of $5.95, a secondary card issuance fee of $4.95, an express card shipping fee of $25.00, a check request fee of $5.95, a bill payment expedited fee of $9.95 and a fee for written account history of $2.95.

The PayPower card acts similar to a debit card in that a balance must be loaded onto the card before it is usable, and purchases are subtracted from the existing balance. PayPower cards are usable throughout the world and on the Internet.
