The exact percentage of savings that a cardholder receives is dependent on the extent to which the amount he spends on non-AT&T purchases matches the amount he spends on AT&T purchases. The discount comes to the cardholder in the form of a statement credit, reports AT&T. Universal cardholders also receive a maximum of 30 free phone minutes per month and two complimentary directory assistance inquiries per month.
AT&T Universal cardholders also receive travel and emergency assistance services and car rental insurance in any country. In addition, cardholders receive protection for purchases made on their cards against theft and damage, notes AT&T. When a cardholder purchases an item that has a five year or less warranty on his AT&T Universal card, he receives an extended warranty of up to a year that provides coverage of up to $10,000.
For each dollar spent on the AT&T Universal card on non-AT&T purchases, cardholders earn one ThankYou Rewards point. Cardholders can redeem these points for goods online or via phone, according to AT&T.Learn more about Credit & Lending
