Mahindra's compact tractor feature 35 to 55 horsepower, Environmental Protection Agency Tier III and IV engines, tilt steering columns, enclosed down-swept exhaust mufflers, foldable rollover protection structures and standard industrial tires. Mahindra's EPA Tier IV engines do not require diesel exhaust fuel. Available attachments include loaders with buckets and grille guards, grapple buckets and forks; other implements, including cutters, box scrapers, blades, tillers and landscape rakes, are also available.
Among the 31 Mihandra compact tractor models available as of 2015 are the 3540 PST Cab, the 2540 Shuttle and 3540 4WD HST. The 3540 PST Cab is a four-wheel-drive tractor with a 40-horsepower engine, heavy-duty transmission, high-lift capacity loader and three-point hitch linkage. The 2540 Shuttle model also features a 40-horsepower engine and a two-spool optional rear remote valve and flat deck platform. The lift capacity of the 2540 Shuttle is 1,971 pounds with a dump clearance of 73 inches. This model also features 3,611 pounds of breakout force and 4.8 inches of digging depth.
Mihandra's 3540 4WD HST features a SyncroMesh transmission with shuttle shift and 12 forward and reverse speeds, thicker-gauge reinforced metal fenders, and a deluxe suspension seat with back angle and weight adjustment and arm rests. In 2015, the least expensive Mihandra compact tractor is the 4025 2WD, which features a Tier III, 41-horsepower engine, a tight turning radius, an extending front axle and an adjustable sliding seat.
