Magnet status is a rare achievement with about six percent of facilities being awarded recognition by the ANCC, notes the University of California, Davis Medical Center. However, any facility that meets the requirements can go through the application process.
Go to nursecredentialing.org. Hover the cursor over the "Magnet" tab at the top of the screen. Click on "Overview" in the drop-down menu. Look for and click on the "Apply Now" button.
Provide the required information in the online form. This includes the hospital contact information and general info. Print out the application receipt and mail it to: ANCC Magnet Recognition, P.O. Box 505063, St. Louis, MO 63150-5063.
Send the necessary documentation to the ANCC email address, as directed by the website.
