However, it is important for an employee to highlight the areas in which he does well to give managers a full understanding of his abilities and contributions to the company.
In terms of weaknesses, an employee self-evaluation should be frank about specific issues at play and attempt to identify the causes. This may include tracing tardiness to a lack of reliable transportation or poor cooperation with coworkers due to feelings of resentment after being denied a promotion. This section must also include methods through which the employee plans to improve, which may include making changes to his home life, taking classes to gain additional knowledge or requesting something from the manager to improve his work environment.
