In 2012, the company issued dividends of 82 and 84 cents in the first two quarters followed by 85 cents in each of the remaining periods.

In 2013, Seadrill's dividend was 88 cents in the first quarter, followed by 91, 95 and 98 cents in each respective quarter, the company explains. Finally, in 2014 the company issued a $1 dividend in both the first and second quarters.
