First Energy provides multiple options for paying bills, including paying online with a credit card or bank account, paying by phone, sending in a payment or paying in person. The easiest way to pay a First Energy bill is online.
A customer can either send a one-time payment manually each month or set up automatic payments with his checking or savings account, or his credit or debit card. For online payments, customers need to first sign up to receive bills electronically.
As of 2015, First Energy also allows customers to call 866-569-4770 to pay by phone with the automated system using a credit or debit card. This option is available 24 hours a day. Other ways to pay include in person at a local First Energy office or by mailing in a payment to the nearest office.
