Design Shack gives advice on how to design flyers for anything, including babysitting services. Even if the designer does not have access to Photoshop, she is still able to design a flyer. Any sort of presentation or word processing application works, such as PowerPoint, Word, Keynote or Pages.
After choosing a medium to create a flyer, the designer needs to think about what important information must go on it. This includes such information as name, contact information, hours available, price charged and that references are available, according to Printaholic. Design Shack then adds that a relevant image sets apart this flyer from others that are posted in the same location. For a babysitting service, clip art pictures or cartoon images of children or child-related objects work well. Images work well as the background to the flyer unless they are overwhelming, then it is best to showcase the picture in just one area.
When this information is ready to go, Design Shack suggests figuring out the size of the flyer. The designer needs to think about what size is easily printable. Vertical orientations work best. The pictures go on next. A headline attracts the viewer to the flyer, then the relevant information is placed in an easily readable location. As long as the flyer looks appealing to the eye, the next step is to print and distribute it.
