RBCRewards.com lists the many rewards available to Avion card holders. North American flights costing a maximum of $750 are redeemable at 35,000 points. European flights costing a maximum of $1,300 are redeemable at 65,000 points. Among the great variety of merchandise available, there are Best Buy products, such as laptops and tablets, starting at 50,000 points. Royal Bank also allows customers to convert points to other loyalty programs, such as programs run by WestJet, British Airways, Esso and Shoppers Drug Mart. Royal Bank states that all rewards are subject to availability.
As of 2015, Royal Bank gives 15,000 reward points to newly accepted Avion customers who do not already posses another related Avion credit card. This is enough points to purchase a local flight with a ticket price under $350. Royal Bank increases reward points to $1.25 for each dollar of travel-related purchases. Royal Bank claims that there are no blackout dates or seating restrictions on its Avion card. Customers can also redeem points towards their Avion credit card balance.Learn more about Credit & Lending
