Recent figures on Scrap Register indicate that the overall cost of all types of brass has gone down in the United States. Prices for various types of brass including red brass, yellow brass and iron brass radiator scraps range from $1.40 to $1.90 per pound.
Scrap Monster lists the overall North American price of scrap yellow brass as $1.72 per pound. In the American Midwest, yellow brass is slightly cheaper at $1.70 per pound, while on the West Coast, it is slightly more expensive at $1.73 per pound.
Earth Works recycling is located in Spokane, Washington. This company lists the price of yellow brass at $1.45 per pound, or $1.48 per pound if more than 100 pounds is being traded.
