Patients are able to sign up for a UPMC HealthTrak account, also known as MyUPMC, by filling out an online application, reports UPMC. Once a patient has an account, she can download an application to access MyUPMC on her mobile device and use the remote medical service, UPMC AnywhereCare.
To create a MyUPMC account, go to the UPMC.com main page, select MyUPMC in the toolbar at the top of the page, and click on Sign Up Now to Manage Your Health Care Online, advises UPMC. Click on Create New Account, and read and agree to the terms and conditions. If your doctor has given you an access code, you can enter it on the application. Otherwise, verify your identity to receive an access code. If you have trouble with the application, email or phone MyUPMC support.
To be eligible to use a MyUPMC account, individuals must be at least 18 years old or the parents or legal guardians of underage patients, explains UPMC. With a MyUPMC account, a patient can review her medical histories, her family's health histories, test results and chronic conditions online. She can also receive advice from her doctor, renew prescriptions, arrange appointments and pay her medical bills. UPMC AnywhereCare allows members to have nonemergency medical visits online with health care providers.
