The support options include chatting online with support or providing a phone number online and setting up an immediate or scheduled call. Customers must provide a product serial number when prompted. Customers may also submit a phone number and issue details online and then call when ready. The information provided online should simplify and shorten the phone call.
Customers can also post messages to the Apple support community to receive suggestions. Click on Support in the top menu bar on the home page, and click on the Apple Support Communities header. Log in to the community pages with an Apple ID and password. Click on the device that needs support to go to the appropriate community. Choose the most relevant forum from the top options, and post a message.
Apple recommends that customers review their support coverage before contacting support. Most Apple products, however, come with complimentary phone support for 90 days and a limited warranty for one year.
