To complete and verify the license of a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of California, visit Cdph.ca.gov and click Certificates & Licenses on the primary menu. Under Certificates and Licenses, click Licensing & Certification – Certification Verification Application to access the L & C Verification Search Page. Choose Certified Nurse Assistant in the Certificate/License Type drop-down menu and provide the requested information for the other search boxes. The tool allows searches by certificate or license number, by providing an individual's last and first name, or by indicating the first letter of a person's last name.

The L & C Verification Detail Page shows the license holder's full name, license number, type of license or certification, and the affectivity and expiration date of the license. The page also indicates if a CNA is still active and employable. If the searched person holds multiple licenses or certifications, the detail page also shows information related to the other certification.
