Among the complaints formally lodged against Apple products are SIM cards being rejected by unlocked iPhones, malfunctioning iPhone touchscreens, altered music metadata after uploading to iTunes, locked and malfunctioning iPods and crashing Mac computers. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) lists a total of 3,266 closed complaints against Apple Inc., of which 2,249 are complaints about Apple products and services, as of August 2015. Around 1,100 of the complaints lodged against Apple Inc. with the BBB were resolved within the last 12 months, as stated on the BBB website.
One Apple product, the Lightning USB Cable (1m) that comes with iPhone 5 models, may be one of worst-reviewed Apple product on the company website, notes Bloomberg. Out of more than 841 reviews, around 560 gave the product the lowest rating. The common complaints about the Apple charging cable include frayed ends, broken connectors and that the cable just would not charge the device.
On the BBB, complaints about Mac computers include hard drive issues that causes the computer to hang and eventually crash. Apple products, as well as services, that are either being returned for refund or replacement are also among the common complaints lodged with the BBB. The issues with complaints of this nature usually involve delays in the delivery of the replacement and with the refunds for iTunes and iCloud services.
