Some observers consider the expansion of Target and dollar stores as a threat to Walmart's growth.
Royal Dutch Shell and Exxon Mobil are both extractors of oil. 2015 information shows Royal Dutch Shell moving down the list of the Fortune Global 500, whereas the company was formerly number one. Exxon Mobil is the largest oil company worldwide, although it has also moved down the list from previous years. BP also experienced a decline, part of which is tied to the 2010 oil spill. It is at number six on the 2015 list.
