Circuit City coupons are no longer offered online or on paper since the retailer announced its closing in 2009. All of the more than 550 stores in the United States are closed, along with the retailer's website and call center.
Before it closed, Circuit City was the second-largest electronics retailer in the United States. The company was founded in 1949 as Wards, and it became Circuit City in 1984.
Systemax, Inc. purchased the Circuit City brand when the company closed, and TigerDirect took over the Circuit City website. Some experts blame the retailer's downfall on the fact that they decided to stop selling large home appliances in 2000.
