The Central Intelligence Agency offers paid internship opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students. At these internships, students are given the opportunity to learn more about political sciences while gaining important employment experience and earning a salary.
The CIA offers several internship opportunities as well as cooperative programs with schools that choose to participate in these programs. Students that are studying mathematics, engineering, political sciences, logistics, military and other majors that may relate to the jobs that are available from the CIA can be eligible for internship. The agency offers different opportunities depending on whether the student is enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies. Students are often given the opportunity to work with the CIA or other government agencies after they have completed their degree and have had a successful internship period with the CIA.
Students who are hoping to intern at the CIA must understand that certain requirements must be met before they are eligible. They must be a United States citizen, must be living in the United States and must be able to pass medical, background and polygraph tests. Students should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and should be able to pass all requirements, including a detailed investigation into illegal downloading and drug use.
