To check your refund status with TurboTax, click on the After You File tab from TurboTax’s home page, click on Track My Refund, log in to your account, and get your status update, explains the TurboTax website. TurboTax recommends waiting three days after filing to check your status.
You can also check your e-file status when filing with TurboTax by clicking on the After You File link and choosing Check My e-File Status, notes TurboTax. Alternatively, you can check your TurboTax refund status by navigating to the Internal Revenue Service’s refund tool, Where’s My Refund? and entering your information or using the IRS2Go mobile app to get refund status updates, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
Use these tools to check your refund within 24 hours of the IRS receiving your e-filed return or four weeks after mailing your paper return to the IRS. To use Where’s My Refund?, you must enter your Social Security or Individual Taxpayer Identification number, filing status and the exact amount of your refund. You can also get the status of your refund by calling the IRS at 1-800-829-1954, states TurboTax. As with the Where’s My Refund? tool, taxpayers are required to provide their Social Security numbers, filing statuses and exact refund amounts to retrieve refund information from the IRS by phone.
