To check the status of your CNA certification in California, visit CA.gov, click State Agencies, then click M-R and Public Health. On the California Department of Public Health Web page, click Certificates & Licenses, then click Licensing & Certification.

Choose the type of license or certificate from the dropdown menu. Enter your certificate number and your last and first name, and click Search.

Similarly, to check the status of your CNA certification in Louisiana, visit Louiana.gov, click Services, then click Licences, and select Professional & Occupational Licenses. On the following page, click Nursing Facility Administrator Board of Examiners of Nursing Facility Administrators, and then click Nurse Aide Registry/Direct Service Worker Registry.
