Check a company's address by searching for it on a local business listings website, such as 411.com or Whitepages.com, as well as by checking its website for the address and contacting it to confirm. Alternately, you may be able to find its address by checking its state business license.
To find a business address on 411.com, select the Business option from the main search bar, and type its name or industry along with the city and state in which it resides. A list of matching results for companies appears, which includes the last known address and phone number. Whitepages.com follows a similar procedure, which requires you to enter the same information on a Business search page to see listings. Once you find the address and phone number for a business, you can call it to confirm that the information is still accurate.
Many businesses also post their addresses on their websites, often within a Contact Us page. Some businesses may operate multiple locations, resulting in multiple listings on these pages. You may use this information to contact the company to confirm the address.
Conducting a business license search within some states returns the address the company has on file with the state tax board. Some businesses may use an address for the licenses that is different from that of its operating locations.
