The Motor Guard policy is designed for private car owners between 17 and 85 years of age, while the Optima Car policy requires drivers to be at least 25 years old with five years of possession of a full driver's license. Optima Plus is for prestige or high-performance vehicles belonging to motorists with five years of possession of a drivers license and at least five years with no claim discount. Optima Classic Car is designed for motorists who are at least 30 years old with five years of residency in the U.K. and possession of a full U.K. license.
