As of 2015, UPS pickups can be arranged online for customers who have a My UPS account. Inside the user account interface, pickup scheduling is located under the shipping portion of the website and requires customers to either enter address information or choose from their address book.
Scheduled pickups through UPS.com also require customers to either obtain shipping labels or print a return label for the package. Customers can also specify a time, date and location for the pickup. Before the pickup schedule is confirmed, customers must verify the details. Then the system issues a confirmation and a pickup request number.
