To track MoneyGram transfers, log in to your online MoneyGram account and access your transaction history. Those receiving transfers or senders without accounts can track transfers using the Track a Transfer online tool, explains MoneyGram.
To open an online MoneyGram account, go to MoneyGram.com, click on Create Account in the upper right corner of the main page, enter your email address, create a unique password, and click on Next, according to MoneyGram. Enter your personal information and payment method. When you log in to your online account, recent transaction history displays on the account home page. To access past account history, select Transaction History.
To track a MoneyGram transfer using the online tool, go to MoneyGram.com, click on Track a Transfer in the toolbar at the top of the main page, enter your last name along with the authorization or reference number of the transfer, and click Track Transfer, instructs MoneyGram.
Online accounts are not necessary to send or receive transfers, advises MoneyGram. Consumers can send money from an agent location to another agent location or directly to a receiver's bank account. Money transferred from one agent location to another is generally available within a few minutes, while transfer of funds to a bank account may take a few hours or more depending on where the consumer sends the money.
