Consumers who are already customers of Commonwealth Bank can apply to join NetBank Commonwealth directly on the bank's website. As of 2015, to register for a NetBank account, customers need a debit MasterCard, credit card, travel money card or key card. A card PIN and mobile phone are also required.
NetBank combines all of a customer's Commonwealth Bank accounts in one location. The NetBank feature allows customers to access their current account balances, review any current or past transactions, pay bills online and transfer funds between accounts. Customers can also apply for additional bank products, activate cards or apply for an increase in their current mortgage.
