Individuals can sign up for a free IGH Rewards Club card online by entering their names and contact information and creating an account password, states the InterContinental Hotels Group. Members earn points when they stay at member hotels or participating in IGH promotions or partner offers. Individuals can then redeem rewards points for a free night's stay at a member hotel or for other travel or merchandise.
IGH Rewards Club members can earn additional points with an IGH Rewards Club credit card, advises JP Morgan Chase. As of 2015, cardholders who make at least $1,000 in purchases within three months of getting the card receive 60,000 bonus points, unless the customer has already redeemed another bonus points offer in the last 24 months.
Credit cardholders also receive a single free night's stay each year and earn additional points for every purchase they make, states JP Morgan Chase. Most purchases qualify for one point for every dollar spent. Gas and grocery purchases qualify for double points for each dollar spent. When a cardholder stays at a member hotel, they earn 5 points for every dollar charged on the card.
The credit card is free for the first year but charges a $49 annual fee for following years, as of 2015, states JP Morgan Chase. Customers may also be charged additional interest rates and fees based on the terms and conditions they agree to.
