As of April 2015, MoneyGram does not provide its customers with an option to send money over the phone, according to the company's official website. Customers can send money either online at MoneyGram's website or in person at a nearby MoneyGram location.
MoneyGram customers can send money online by visiting MoneyGram.com. From there, they have the option of completing the transaction online or locating a physical location near them to send money in person, according to MoneyGram.
Customers who choose the online option can send money by paying with a debit card, credit card or bank transfer. Customers who choose to make a same-day transfer must pay with a debit or credit card. The money is usually available for the recipient to pick up about 10 minutes after the transfer. MoneyGram also notes that customers have the option to send funds directly into a designated receiver's account.
Customers who select the economy money transfer option can expect recipients to have the cash available for pick-up within three business days after transferring the funds. Those who choose to have money deposited into a receiver's account through a bank transfer can also expect the money to be available to the receiver within three business days, according to MoneyGram.
