Money can be sent quickly from any Walmart store to any of more than 336,000 MoneyGram Agents around the world, according to Walmart.com. MoneyGram also allows immediate transfers to any Walmart in the United States or Puerto Rico.
MoneyGram transfers can be made in as little as 10 minutes and can be sent within the United States or internationally to more than 190 countries. These transfers can be completed in-store or online, notes Walmart.com. MoneyGram offers 10-minute, four-hour and same-day international transfers for different prices. Customers can pay using cash, a debit or credit card, the Walmart MoneyCard or a checking account.
Walmart also offers money orders and bill pay services, according to its website. These services are designed to help users avoid late fees; recipients are alerted to payment in under 10 minutes, and express payments are available starting at $3.95 as of March 2015. Standard delivery (up to three business days) is available for $1, Next-day services start at $1.50, and express payments, which arrive within 10 minutes, start at $3.95. The cost of printing a money order at a Walmart location is $0.70.
Walmart offers bill pay services for utility bills, car payments, credit cards and mortgages through MoneyGram and CheckFreePay. Payment must be processed at a Walmart store by 7 p.m. EST to be eligible for same-day delivery, according to Walmart.
