Communicate Skills offers examples of short bios from a number of successful professionals. These examples highlight the different styles in which a bio can be written, from professional to humorous to sincere. The variety of bios on display shows the different lengths that work for bios. Maxx Hendriks’ Twitter-length bio is an example of the humor created through brevity, while novelist Laura Zigman’s longer life summary indicates a more sincere path for writers to take.
The Undercover Recruiter contains examples of different bios from the social-media guru Chris Brogan. The various lengths on display give writers a good sense of how to prioritize information and determine what is appropriate to include in a longer bio entry.
