A customer can make credit card payments to Capital One through an online account, automatic payments, mail and phone as of 2015, according to Capital One. If paying online, a customer can pay multiple accounts at one time and set up as many as three payments per account.
For online payments, a customer selects Make a One-Time Payment from Payments in his online account, explains Capital One. He pays from a bank account he chooses, specifies the credit card the payment is for and the payment amount. He also sets the payment date and can arrange for three payments at a time as long as they fall within 90 days from the setup time.
To mail a payment, a customer sends a check or money order as well as the payment coupon that came with the statement, says Capital One. The customer should include the account number with the payment. If the customer forgets to include the payment coupon, Capital One may not be able to post the payment to his account right away.
A customer can make phone payments by calling 1-800-227-4825, states Capital One. To enroll in automatic payments, a customer must first set up online servicing. With automatic payments, Capital One withdraws payment amounts from a specified bank account on the due date each month.
