Central Hudson customers can pay their bills online, through automatic payments, through postal mail, via phone and in person, as of May 2015. To pay online, customers must set up an account with a user ID and password.
The direct pay payment program requires customers to fill out an enrollment form. While users receive bills, their payments are automatically subtracted from their bank accounts. Customers can pay in person at some PriceChopper, Wal-Mart and Kmart locations for a fee. Other stores and pharmacies also accept Central Hudson bill payments.
Phone payments using a checking account or debit or credit card are acceptable as well. Customers should have their Central Hudson and bank account numbers readily accessible. A third-party processor charges a fee for credit and debit card payments. To pay by postal mail, customers should remit their bill stubs and checks to the payment address listed on the Central Hudson website.
Customers who opt for eBills get their bills electronically, and can use these bills to pay online. Central Hudson touts this approach as environmentally friendly. Customers can also opt for budget billing, which determines a consistent amount for customers to pay every month for 11 months, with the payment for the remaining month being more or less than usual to reflect what customers actually used.
