Full Answer

Information that can be used to search for prisoners includes the inmate's name, alias, assigned Department of Corrections number, race, sex and other physical statistics. Those searching the database can enter as much or as little identifying information as desired in order to broaden or narrow the search parameters. The search results not only include the locations of prisoners, but also photos to aid in identifying them. The listings can also be limited to display search results that only include prisoner photos.

The listings include only those prisoners jailed for felony offenses and held in state institutions or those held under state supervision. Along with the current offenses, the listings also include prior offenses as well as related offenses, such as conspiracy to commit crime. Those held in county institutions or under country supervision are not included in the database. Although the database is updated regularly, the information it contains may not be entirely up-to-date.
