Federal income tax withholding requirements are the same for every state, and a PDF copy of the 2014 federal withholding tax table is available on the Internal Revenue Service website. The table is posted in Publication 15, Circular E, "Employer's Tax Guide," for use in 2014.
Publication 15 from the IRS is a resource for employers to understand their obligations for withholding, reporting and paying estimated federal income tax for their employees, according to the IRS. The 2014 Social Security tax rate was 6.2 percent for income up to $117,000, and the Medicare tax rate was 1.45 percent. The IRS also notes that the 2014 withholding tables include the 2014 Percentage Method Tables and Wage Bracket Tables. The amount of one withholding allowance in 2014 was $3,950 annually.
