To manage your health care online, become a patient at a facility that uses an online patient portal system, as seen on the websites of health care systems such as Sharp HealthCare, FHN and Saint Alphonsus Health System, as of 2016. Visit the patient portal home page or contact your doctor's office for instructions on registering an account. Once you have an account and password, log into the system to manage various aspects of your health care.
Patients at facilities within Sharp HealthCare use a system called FollowMyHealth to manage their health care online, explains the Sharp website. Once logged in, patients can access their medical records, message their doctor's offices, make or cancel appointments, and view their test results. There is also a FollowMyHealth app that allows patients to access their health information from a smartphone.
MyFHN is the online health management system for FHN patients, indicates the FHN website. To enroll in MyFHN, patients must call the MyFHN coordinator via a phone number listed on the website to confirm their email addresses and receive a medical records number. Registered patients can use the system to view information such as laboratory results, a list of current medications and allergies, immunization records, and upcoming appointments.
Patients at Saint Alphonsus facilities may manage their health care with the Cerner portal or the NextMD portal, depending on the facility, explains Saint Alphonsus Health System. Like the aforementioned systems, these portals allow patients to access and manage important information regarding their health care.
