A list of stocks traded on the NYSE can be found on the NYSE website under the listings directory. The listings directory contains a snapshot of all the stocks, as well as growth, market, profitability and valuation information.
Each stock's snapshot listing contains the ticker symbol, a style box, average one-month volume and daily volume of that stock. Under the growth subdivision, the website lists each stock's growth in equity and revenue on a percentage basis over a five-year period. The growth subdivision also has information on the daily change of each stock, the growth in the equity's earnings per share and Morningstar's calculation of total return. The market section of the listing directory contains information on the 52-week highs and lows of each stock, and it also contains the average volume and total return on a yearly basis. The profitability section contains information on operating and net margins, and the valuation section contains various ratios used to gauge the worth of each stock.
According to the NYSE website, the exchange is the largest in the world. The exchange is also home to the NYSE MKT and NYSE Arca. The former caters to smaller and younger high-growth companies, while the latter lists over 8,000 various securities.
