The searchable regions are Africa; Asia; Australia and South Pacific; Central America and Caribbean; Europe; South America; Middle East; and North America. Users can view American companies by state.
Industry categories on the Nasdaq website are capital goods, consumer durables, consumer nondurables, consumer services, energy, finance, health care, miscellaneous, public utilities, technology and transportation. Users can also search the Nasdaq website for companies according to the size of their market caps: mega, large, mid, small, micro or nano.
As of May 2015, the Nasdaq chart arranges the information in columns that show the company name, company stock market symbol, market cap, country, IPO year and subsector such as semiconductors, business services, major banks or property-casualty insurers. Some of the column fields for various companies read "n/a."
