Where Can You Find a List of Medicare CPT Codes?
Last Updated Apr 10, 2020 11:14:41 AM ET

Current Procedure Terminology codes are available to members of and subscribers to the American Medical Association, which holds the trademark on CPT codes. CPT codes, used to describe medical procedures and services, are the standard used for medical billing, including by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Users of the AMA's CPT Network have full access to the database of CPT codes. The AMA issues changes to CPT codes each October. It publishes these changes and other information regarding CPT codes in its periodical, CPT Assistant, as well as on its website. The AMA licenses use of its CPT codes, and anyone wishing to include them in a product must gain the AMA's permission to do so.
