Xenex Disinfection Services is a privately held company, and therefore no stock in the company is available to the public, according to Privco.com. Xenex, which is based in Austin, Texas, and backed by venture capital, produces room-disinfection services for health care facilities.
In November 2013, Xenex Disinfection Services raised $11.3 million in venture capital to fund further development and sales of its pulsed xenon room disinfection system, as PE Hub explains. The system uses pulsed light to eliminate bacteria and viruses in a hospital environment, with the goal of reducing the number of hospital-acquired infections. Second-generation enhancements of the system include a simpler user interface and a brushed-aluminum, dent-resistant shell.
