Homeopathic doctors may work in homeopathic hospitals or in regular allopathic hospitals as part of a patient's integrative care. For example, homeopathic doctors form part of the integrative oncology services team provided by the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, where they work together with physicians and nurses.
Many homeopathic doctors set up private practice as wellness consultants, herbal pharmacists or alternative medicine consultants, though some work part-time or perform shifts in hospitals or community clinics. Like regular doctors, homeopathic doctors need to obtain training from an accredited school of naturopathic medicine in order to become licensed. Homeopathic doctors can also perform clinical diagnoses and can order medical diagnostic procedures for their patients.
