Where Can You Find Executor Fees by State?
Last Updated Mar 25, 2020 11:05:14 AM ET
Executor fees by state can be found on law-related sites such Executors and LegalZoom.com, as of 2015. State-specific information on executor fees can also be found on local legal sites, such as Fromhold Jaffe & Adams’ website.
Different cases and laws affect executor fees in each state, and the place where the deceased resided and where the will is probated are major factors that affect the final fee value. The amount of effort and time that the executor needs to spend on the will’s execution are also taken into account when determining the fees. In addition, every executor's compensation needs to be approved by the probate court.
