Examples of employee self-assessments can be found on the Halogen Software Talent Space blog. The post contains a breakdown of the sections included in most self-assessments, including competency, performance goal and development plan.
Each self-assessment section contains an example of a general overview as well as several supporting details from the employee's work history. The goal and development plan sections also include a timetable or schedule for meeting the stated objectives. The amount of detail an employee needs to provide may vary depending on his relationship with work supervisors. Those who meet with bosses regularly throughout the year generally do not need to be as exhaustive in their annual self-assessments.
